For patients registered at the practice.
Repeat prescriptions can only be issued by prior arrangement with the doctor.
Prescriptions can be requested in the following ways:
- Hand in prescription slip to reception
- Email the request to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Request online
- Ask your pharmacy to request on your behalf
Prescription requests take a full 48 working hours to be processed and approved by a Doctor. This may vary if you have requested a medication which requires close monitoring or review prior to further supplies being made; or if the item is not on your repeat list. Please note, that requests received after 3.30pm will not begin being processed until the following working day
We now send prescriptions electronically to a pharmacist of your choice - please do let us know your preferred pharmacy; this will be saved onto your record and prescriptions will be sent automatically to them without you needing to come into the practice to collect the prescription.
From time to time we will ask you to see your doctor or our practice pharmacist to review your medications.
We do not take orders for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
