To make it easier for you to get the right help when you need it urgently, we offer a dedicated Duty Doctor Service at Spring Hill Practice. When you call with an urgent health problem, the Duty Doctor will call you back within 2 hours to determine the best way to assist you.

Depending on your assessment, the doctor may:

  • Give you clinical advice straight away over the phone.
  • Arrange for you to come into the surgery to see a doctor, nurse, or appropriate staff member.
  • Arrange a home visit if you are not well enough to attend the surgery and the doctor deems it necessary.
  • Direct you towards other appropriate healthcare services.
πŸ“ž How to access this service: If you need urgent medical advice for yourself or someone you care for, call the practice on our main line and ask the reception team about speaking to the Duty Doctor. They will ask a few brief questions, and if appropriate, arrange for a call back within 2 hours.
πŸ₯ Why choose Duty Doctor? This service offers rapid access to your GP practiceβ€”where our clinicians know your medical history and have immediate access to your full records. We recommend this service instead of going to A&E for non-life-threatening urgent issues.
